Congratulations to Dustan Adams and Tina McCrae our 2025 Crystal Apple Award Winners. They were selected based on their invaluable service and commitment to our District. Below are the reasons why they were selected for the award. Dustan Adams is a Social Science Teacher at Imbler High School who has taught in the district for 18 years. In addition to helping students grow academically, he is the head high school football coach and athletic director. Dustan’s calm, patient demeanor shows in the classroom and on the field, building respect and trust with students while demonstrating integrity and leadership skills. His nomination form said, “Dustan has an impact in the Imbler School that goes above and beyond the values and importance of preparing students for the future.” Tina McCrae is a Paraprofessional at Imbler Elementary School. She has worked for Imbler School District for four years. Like many paraprofessionals, Tina works daily in multiple areas of the school, including small group instruction, recess duty and anyplace extra help is needed. Kind and patient, she is adept at guiding children successfully through their school day, bolstering their responsibility, social skills and success. Tina ensures that every child she interacts with is not only safe, but also seen, heard, appreciated and loved. We are fortunate to have them as part of the Imbler School District Staff!

The January and February Students of the Month were recognized at Tuesday night's board meeting. The trait for the month of January was "Kindness" and the trait for February was "Respect". The students recognized in January were; Adalynn Partney (K), Grace Huelter (2), Dace Crow (4) and Kinsley Stackhouse (6). They were commended for always being kind to others, getting along with their classmates and for always having positive attitudes . The students recognized for February were; Logan Way (1), Charlee King (3) and Allie Lesko (5). It was said that these students consistently follow classroom rules and routines and lead by example. MUSIC POSITION VACANCY
Kiana de Lint is representing Imbler High School at the Western States High School Ski Racing Championships! Kiana is part of the Blue Mountain League which includes Baker, Union, and Wallowa County schools. Kiana is a senior at Imbler High School and represented Imbler at the Oregon State Hgh School Ski Racing Championships held at Mt. Ashland last week and did very well. She placed 7th in Giant slalom and 9th in Slalom out of a field of about 140 of the top female high school ski racing athletes in Oregon. This earned her a spot on the Oregon High School Western National Team in which she will compete against the other state's teams in the Western United States, from Michigan to Oregon. The Western States High School Ski Racing Championships are being held at Grand Targhee ski area in Wyoming, this week March 12th through the 15th. We are so proud of her! We are hoping this draws attention to ski racing and the overall athletic talent we have here in NE Oregon. Good Luck Kiana!!

The girl's won their first round play off game last night defeating Triangle Lake 64 to 7. They will now face St. Paul on Friday at 6pm here at Imbler. The winner will earn a trip to the State Tournament in Baker City beginning Thursday, March 5th at 8:15pm. Cost of admission for the state games is $10 for adults and $6 for students.
