Illness

A Message from Superintendent

As winter is approaching or upon us, the risk of getting ill is higher.  This winter the rate of respiratory illnesses is expected to rise.  To mitigate the chance of spreading a respiratory illness, please keep your child home if they are sick. Talk to your children about how these types of illnesses are transmitted and talk to them about proper handwashing.  Here at the school, we will be doing the same and also adding additional cleaning measures.  RSV and Influenza are respiratory illnesses that haven’t been prevalent in a few years, however Gov. Brown issued an emergency declaration for RSV in children to help hospitals battle severe cases.  RSV is a big concern this winter.  Here is some guidance on RSV from the CDC, how it is transmitted, symptoms, etc.
