Community Star - Jaymee McDonald

Congratulations to Jaymee McDonald our 2nd Community Star Recipient! Jaymee exemplifies what it means to be an Imbler Community Star through her quiet consistency, resilience, and commitment to others. Since joining our school as a sophomore after moving from Australia, she has embraced our community with humility and determination, becoming a positive and steady presence. Despite facing challenges that could have easily caused her to withdraw, Jaymee instead leaned in; building relationships, contributing to programs, and supporting those around her without seeking recognition. She carries herself with a sense of balance and maturity, helping keep situations calm and grounded and consistently does what is right even when no one is watching. Her ability to work hard, stay involved and give back to her school and community reflects the true spirit of this award.

Jaymee has been actively involved in a variety of extracurricular activities throughout her time at Imbler High School. She has participated in FFA, contributing to both leadership and program involvement, and has been a member of the volleyball team. She is also involved in track and field each year, demonstrating her commitment to athletics. Outside of school, Jaymee is active in her local church youth group and has balanced her time with employment as a lifeguard, often working very early mornings, late evenings and weekends. Her ability to stay engaged across multiple activities while maintaining her responsibilities speaks to her strong work ethic and dedication. Congratulations Jaymee! Keep up the fantastic work and continue to inspire us all with your outstanding positivity and service to your school and community.
