Congratulations to our very own J.D. Cant! He was recently named 2023 NAAE Region I Teacher Mentor Award Recipient.
J.D. Cant has taught at Imbler High School since 2002. During his career, he has played a critical role in the success of other agricultural educators by serving as a mentor and professional development facilitator for numerous programs. Besides working locally and in Oregon, J.D. has worked with NAAE and the National FFA Organization to develop and facilitate trainings for agricultural educators across the country. Each year, he co-leads NAAE’s Facilitator Training Academy, where he observes, coaches, and provides feedback to other agricultural educators who will facilitate NAAE professional development programs for other teachers. J.D. has served as a cooperating teacher for six student teachers so far during his career.
