Choir is making a comeback at Imbler Schools!! Music Instructor, Erin Wunz and our 8 - person choir attended the EOSSMA Choral Event at EOU yesterday with other area schools. Mrs. Wunz reported that the event went very well and all of the students had a great experience and they gleaned a lot from singing with the 40-50 other students from small schools. Peter Wordleman, the EOU Music Professor, was the guest conductor for the EOSSMA choir. They also enjoyed listening to the performances by the EOU Chamber Choir, under the direction of Peter Wordleman, and the EOU 45th Parallel Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Greg Johnson. The teachers from each school also sang with the EOSSMA choir. Mrs. Wunz enjoyed singing with her students and other students from the small schools. At the end, all of the small schools sang four songs all together with guest pianist, Matt Carlson, the music teacher at North Powder. Some of the members from the Jazz Ensemble joined the choir playing their instruments. One student from each school sang a short solo. Our student, Gracie Howell, sang one of the solos and she did a fantastic job!
