Eleven athletes represented Imbler High School very well at the OSAA 1A State Track and Field Championships held in La Grande on Saturday, May 22! Erin Coston was able to bring home the state pole vault championship after placing second two years ago. There was no state meet last year due to school closures. Freshman Austyn Turner earned medals in three events – 4th in the 400m, 7th in the long jump, and 7th in the 800m. Kendra Counsel placed fourth in the 3000m, and Aspen Smith placed fifth in the discus. Wyatt Frost earned a third-place medal in the shotput and a seventh-place one in the discus on the boys' side. Isaiah Trujillo placed seventh in the pole vault, and the boys' 4x100m relay team comprised of Nathan Bingaman, Clinton Tarvin, Isaac Herron, and Carter Crook placed seventh. Also qualifying for the meet was Dania Sather, who competed in 1500m and 3000m.
